Shenandoah Music Trail

Our "Spotlight Showcase" segment features Malia Furtado lives just outside of Staunton, Virginia. She comes from a large family of Shenandoah Valley musicians and started playing fiddle at the age of 3. At Galax Old Fiddler’s Convention, she discovered bluegrass. Malia currently tours with the Gina Furtado Project and teaches Bluegrass Fiddle and Classical Violin privately and at The Front Porch in Charlottesville.
